
Preston
G.M. Williams III has over 22 years of experience in
leadership positions in the professional services industry. He founded GBC®
(General Business Consultants, Inc.) in 2002 in the United
States. Over
the next two years, he established satellite offices in Kenya,
Liberia
and Uganda.
Mr. Williams served as CEO - Chief Executive Officer & Managing
Partner until July 2004 after which he became a Senior Partner and
Executive Consultant.
In his new role,
Preston
contributes to the company's creative direction and development efforts.
His primary responsibility is building viable strategic
alliances and partnerships
which match up with the firm's long term growth and development
objectives.
Joining the Price
Waterhouse,
Monrovia
practice in 1985, Mr. Williams rose from Audit Assistant to several
management positions in the then 68,000 person organization while
working in
Liberia
,
Sierra Leone
and the
United States
. He managed audit engagements for such clients as Chase Manhattan Bank,
CITIBANK, Meridien Bank, LAMCO J.V. Operating Company, Louis Berger
& Company, The
US Educational & Cultural Foundation in
Liberia
, CIGNA
and The National Bank of
Liberia
. His professional experience includes a Controllership and IT
Consulting positions with Andersen
Consulting and McGladrey
& Pullen.
Prior to establishing GBC®,
Mr. Williams was a Project Executive with IBM
Global Services where he managed
several systems integration projects. His client experience included
Applied Materials, Gateway, The
United Negro College Fund (UNCF),
Duke Energy, Ingersoll Rand, Royal Sun and Alliance, GridSouth and
Quintiles among others. His experience while working at IBM covered the
USA
, Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and
South America
.
In 2005, while working as Product
Manager for Global Data Collection with
Dun & Bradstreet's (D&B's) Sales & Marketing Solutions
Division, Mr.
Williams was responsible for launching two new products,
namely Corporate
Family Tree Plus and Customer
Defection Alert.
From 2006 -
2007, Preston
Williams III served as CIO

Chief Information Officer
at Langston
University, where
he developed a Ten Year IT Development Plan and launched the
university's new web site. He developed a corresponding Tactical Action
Plan to support the initiative and generated a comprehensive &
streamlined budget. He also brokered new partnerships with DELL
and The
Williams Company of
Tulsa

Oklahoma
. Mr. Williams believes in the virtue of education and has been a
sponsor of the Victor
E. Ward Educational Fund.
Mr. Williams is Chairman of the GBC
Board of Directors and a member of
the Oklahoma
Innovative Technology Advisory Council (InnoTech).
