The United States Department of Commerce (DOC) agencies cover everything from weather (the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration) to weapons (the Bureau of Industry and Security), from patents (the Patent and Trademark Office) to population (the Bureau of the Census). The department has numerous offices related directly and indirectly to the regulation, development, and promotion of domestic and international trade.
